HOMEMADE MASHED BUTTERNUT SQUASH

So Cheap & Easy, Even I Can Do It!














Ingredients:

1 half of a medium butternut squash (lengthwise)

1 tbsp. of unsalted butter

1 tbsp. of brown sugar

   Microwavable Plastic wrap


Directions:  
1.       Cut and remove the two ends of the butternut squash 
       (Do not peel it)
2.       Remove the seeds

3.     Cover it completely with plastic wrap and microwave it for 
       about 8 minutes until it becomes tender

4.      Remove it from the microwave and let it cool down until you can hold it safely

5.     Remove the plastic wrap

6.    With a fork (or whatever you have), mash the squash and 
     then transfer the puree to a bowl or pan (do not use the skin)


7.     Add 1 tbsp of unsalted butter, 1 tbsp of brown sugar and
      a little bit of salt, (at your taste)

8.     Mix it well and it is ready to serve

Serve it hot and ...
