Mamma Cristina's pizza crust

Who doesn't like pizza? It's the perfect food for an evening with friends and family. You may order it at the restaurant, have it delivered or make it at home. But let's be honest, a homemade pizza is simply the best! Here is my mom's recipe - the ultimate pizza crust directly from Italy. It's cheap, it's fun to make...and it's deliiiiiscious!

Ingredients:
4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/3 cups milk (or water)
1 package yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt

Directions:

Before starting, you may want to remove your rings, bracelets and watches so they won't get messed up with flour and dough. Oh yes, it's going to be messy!!

1. First of all, warm up the milk (or water) in the microwave for 45 seconds. Add the yeast and stir it until it's well dissolved. Add a teaspoon of sugar for an even better way to activate the yeast.

2. Place the flour and salt in a separate bowl. Dig a small hole in the middle and add the milk with the yeast that you have already prepared.

3. Mix it with your hands until you have formed a ball. Add the oil and combine it.

4. Transfer the dough on a countertop that you have previously washed, dried and sprinkled with some flour (so it won't stick!). Now comes the part where you have to work the dough until it's nice and smooth. Oh yeah, it's a good work out plus you get to bring down your stress!

5. Put the dough in a bowl that you have previously sprinkled with a little bit of flour (again, so it won't stick!). Cover it with a kitchen towl and place it in a closed space (the oven is perfect!). Let it rest for at least 2 hours.

6. Now the dough is fluffy and (almost) ready! I personally like to roll it and let it rise a little bit more in the pizza pan before baking it. If I have very little time, I even let it rise only in the pan. Oh, and remember to

7. Once the crust is on the pizza pan, top it with tomato sauce, oregano, shredded mozzarella cheese and your favorite toppings. Bake it at 355°F for 30 minutes. Let it cool down for a couple of minutes before cutting and....enjoy!!
